Animator recreates Ryan Gosling’s Oscar performance in LEGO form

Animator Preston Mutanga recreated an excerpt from actor Ryan Gosling’s performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the 2024 Oscars, in LEGO. Look!

Last Sunday, the 10th, the Oscar 2024 awards ceremony took place, where Ryan Gosling gave an iconic performance of “I’m Just Ken”, a track from the film “Barbie”. Then, the animator Preston Mutangafamous for creating the LEGO universe of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, recreated a small part of the actor’s presentation in LEGO format.

The video is 24 seconds long, and recreates an excerpt from the presentation where Ryan Gosling sings the song’s chorus, featuring the actor in pink and surrounded by men in black dressed as cowboys (Kens), making reference to the live-action “Barbie”. Look!

The presentation of Ryan Gosling was the most talked about song of the night, however, “I’m Just Ken” lost the “Best Original Song” category to another song from the “Barbie” soundtrack: “What Was I Made For?”, by Billie Eilish. Remember the original performance of the song!

With Margot Robbie in the title role, the production also features the participation of Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Dua Lipa, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu and great cast, “Barbie” is available through the streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max). Watch the trailer below!
