A few gestures borrowed from Ayurvedic medicine can help us start 2024 off on the right foot. Focus on dinacharya, a daily ritual known to ease the body and mind
Rinse your mouth
Start your day with a glass of warm water to gently wake up your digestive system and refresh your extracellular fluid. Then, before brushing your teeth, clean your tongue with a tongue scraper (from a drugstore or organic store) to remove toxins. Finish with gandush, a mouthwash with a tablespoon of organic virgin sesame oil. This ancestral gesture allows you to massage the mucous membranes and maintain the health of the teeth, gums and throat.

Clear eyes and sinuses
Jala neti is an Indian technique that helps cleanse and clear the sinuses. The idea. Pour some warm, lightly salted water into one nostril and blow it out through the other nostril. Then we practice nadi shodhana, alternate breathing; close the right nostril with the thumb of the right hand and inhale with the left nostril, then reverse the gesture. Don’t forget to clean the eye area too, using soothing corn water.
Salute to the sun
In yoga, the sun salutation is a sequence of 12 dynamic poses that we perform in the morning after waking up. They allow you to work on breathing, support and balance thanks to figures that are easy to perform;
Breathe to detoxify
Kapalabhati is a breathing technique that allows deep cellular cleansing and eliminates carbon dioxide. Breathe deeply for three minutes, exhaling in very short exhalations, contracting the perineum and stomach. Then exhale and breathe normally with your eyes closed.
Meditate in silence
Sit quietly for fifteen minutes. Sit on the floor with your back straight and hands on your knees. Focus on your breathing to slow down your breathing, close your eyes and imagine a landscape, picturing its details. Combine its strength, calmness and stability.
