This Wednesday, the 13th, fans of EXO were surprised by the announcement that Sehunthe group’s maknae, will enlist in the South Korean army next week, being the last member of the formation to begin mandatory military service.
“I will begin my military service on December 21st. I’m sorry for breaking the news to EXO-L so late. Lately, I’ve been spending time alone, taking care of myself and contemplating deeply. As a result, I am greeting you like this [através de uma carta], without getting in front of you. I hope you understand that I cannot greet you in person. I am very grateful to everyone who takes care of me”, said the idol in a letter shared through the Weverse platform.
Moments after the announcement of Sehun, Baekhyun made a point of comforting fans with a cute message sent on the Bubble platform, where he also took the opportunity to make a promise to all EXO-Ls.
“Sehunnie’s military enlistment letter was released… I know EXO-Ls are frustrated, but Sehunnie, the other members, all of us, are thinking about EXO and EXO-L. Let’s all have a big party together when we meet again. Tell Sehunnie to come back safely!” wrote the main vocalist.
During the chat with fans, Baekhyun He also recalled a little about his enlistment period, stating that he secretly followed everything the fans said, in addition to having also watched several EXO performances to satisfy some of the nostalgia.
