Film director Justine Trieu’s Anatomy of a Fall won five European Film Academy Awards.

On Saturday, December 9, in Berlin (Germany), the European Film Academy announced the winners of the European Film Awards 2023. It was reported on the academy’s website.

So, it became the movie of the year Anatomy of a fall French director Justine Trieu.

Both films received awards for best director, best screenplay and best editing, and leading actress Sandra Güller became best actress

The plot centers on a successful writer who is suspected of murdering his wife. The woman denies her guilt in every possible way, but the investigation reveals more and more suspicious events in her family life.

It is noteworthy that two Ukrainian films were nominated for the European Film Awards – a noir detective La Palisade director Philip Sotnichenko and documentary film native land directors Anna Badziaki and Alexander Mikhalkovich.
