‘Wonka’, new film from Warner Bros. about confectioner Willy Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet, opens in theaters tomorrow (7)
Next Thursday, the 7th, the film “Wonka”, a film starring the actor, will be released in cinemas Timothée Chalamet which will tell the story of Willy Wonka before creating his famous chocolate factory, made up of his beloved Oompa-Loompas. Watch the trailer!
The official synopsis reads: “Willy Wonka (Timothée Chalamet) is a determined, creative young man and, with his mother (Sally Hawkins), learned the importance of dreams. His talent for inventions and chocolates is something inexplicable. But to offer his delicacies to the world, he will need to face a group of sweet sellers, who will do everything to prevent him from entering the market. Willing to provide the world with more sweetness and magic, Willy will face the challenge and, to do so, he will count on his partner Oompa-Loompa (Hugh Grant)”.
It is worth remembering that the production is entirely based on the book “Charlie and Chocolate Factory”, from 1964, written by the British author Roald Dahl. The work tells the story of little Charlie, who lives with his parents and grandparents in a shack near a grandiose — and mysterious — chocolate factory.
With financial difficulties, the little money the family receives is only used to make thin cabbage soup every night for dinner — but Charlie is passionate about something else: chocolate. One day, the owner of the factory, Willy Wonka, known for being one of the most genius chocolate makers there is, decides to open the doors of his enterprise to five lucky children who find the golden tickets inside the bars.
Despite never having had much luck in his life, little Charlie sees an opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream, as well as discover the mystery of what happened behind the doors of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The book of Dahl It became a huge worldwide success, even stopping in theaters. The first adaptation was released in 1971, and starred Gene Wilder It is Peter Ostrum. To this day, as reported by the TechTudo portal, the production is considered a cult classic on the big screen, due to its great impact.
Years later, in 2005, the franchise would receive its second remake, and one of the most popular. The film starred Freddie Highmore It is Johnny Deppbeing nominated for an Oscar in 2006.
Both productions follow the same script presented in the book, telling the adventures of little Charlie inside Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, however, they do not delve too deeply into the story of Willy Wonka. The new film promises to resolve many fans’ doubts about the confectioner’s origins and his relationship with chocolate.
