Controversies
The live-action Snow White princess hasn’t even hit theaters yet and has already caused quite a stir among Disney fans. This is because since its announcement, the production, which promises to recreate the 1937 classic in a modern way, has already been involved in several controversies.
One of them was the fact that the studio announced that the film would not feature the presence of the seven dwarves, characters that are of great importance in the original plot. They would be replaced by other magical creatures, as announced in a Disney statement.
This decision to change the characters came after criticism made by the actor Peter Dinklage, from “Game of Thornes”, who has dwarfism. The star accused Disney of reinforcing the stereotype of people with dwarfism.
The lineup of Rachel Zegler and criticisms about some changes in the plot that have already been announced, are some of the other controversies surrounding the live-action. To find out more details click here.
