Saudi officials have warned the United States that such an operation would be “extremely damaging,” The New York Times said.
Saudi Arabian officials have warned the US that an Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip could be a disaster for the Middle East. The New York Times reported this, citing its sources.
Saudi Arabia has repeatedly made this call to senior American officials.
Saudi officials also delivered a warning about the ground operation to American lawmakers.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., a member of the Armed Services Committee, was one of 10 senators who met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s de facto ruler, in the Saudi capital of Riyadi over the weekend.
“Saudi leaders have expressed hope that a ground operation can be avoided for reasons of stability … and Saudi officials have warned that it would be ‘extremely damaging,'” said Blumenthal.
We remind you that Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that the TsAGAL offensive in the Gaza Strip will be long. Israel plans to destroy all Hamas militants.
