This Thomas Keighley film, which teams Romain Duris and Adele Exarchopoulos, caused a sensation on the Croisette when it was screened in the Uncertain Aspects selection at the recent Cannes Film Festival.
A strange epidemic is affecting the world where some people are mutating into animal creatures. Francois (Romain Duris), the father, somewhat depressed by the situation, goes to look for his wife, accompanied by their 16-year-old son Emile. In this quest, with the help of Julia, a police officer played by Adele Exarchopoulos, François and his son will see their existence completely turned upside down, while the world is populated by a new kind of chimerical creatures.
This vaguely presented fantasy drama created a sensation on the Croisette last May, receiving rave reviews from critics at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Thomas Kelly, award-winning directores Fighters In 2014, he signs here the second feature film at the intersection of genres: adventure story, magnetic author’s film and teen movie.
The stunning trailer is punctuated by an epic musical score. We see a race in cornfields (the film was partly shot in Lot et Garonne), panic scenes typical of apocalypse films. In addition to Romain Duris, in the cast we find Adele Exarchopoulos and the revelation Paul Kircher (High school student by Christophe Honoré). The release is scheduled for October 4th.
