In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the members of newjeans commented a little more about their career, in addition to taking advantage of the place to give some spoilers for their next comeback, scheduled to take place on the 21st of July.
During the conversation, Hanni stated that, although all the songs already released by the group are great, the new tracks present in the mini-album “Get Up” are the ones that are closest to his personal taste.
“Although I’ve loved all the songs we’ve released so far, the songs on our new mini album are exactly the kind of music I like.”
In addition, the idol also stated that the songs will be different from anything the group has done before, and will showcase a new side of NewJeans.
“Everything about our new songs is… fresh… Compared to our previous releases, this new mini-album definitely has a lot more variety to offer, not just in music genre and dance style, but what we’re striving for. to express and show you.”
Finally, Hanni even stated that he believes the girl group’s new music is entering “an area of music that hasn’t been tried or tried very often before”.
As reflected by Soompi, the new NewJeans album will consist of six tracks: “New Jeans”, “Super Shy”, “ETA”, “Cool With You”, “Get Up” and “ASAP”, where the first will be a a sort of prologue to the album, and will arrive accompanied by a videoclip in collaboration with the famous animation “As Meninas Superpoderosas”, which is completing 25 years.
Pre-releases “New Jeans” and “Super Shy” are set for release on July 7th, while title tracks “ETA” and “Get Up” will arrive on July 21st, accompanied by the full mini-album.
