To celebrate BTS’s 10th anniversary, the city of Seoul lit up its landmarks in purple, in addition to creating other special events for the date.
This Tuesday, the 13th, BTS celebrates its 10th anniversary! But the celebrations in Seoul, capital of South Korea, began yesterday, the 12th, due to the 12h time difference between the Asian country and Brazil.
Among the celebrations, the city of Seoul released a special tourist map, which indicates 13 places that are related to BTS, such as the office of the agency Hybe, which is responsible for the boygroup, and the historic Gyeongbokgung Palace, where the group performed and participated in a special edition of the talk show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”. In addition to the special map and the meeting of ARMYs (the group’s fandom) in front of Hybe’s headquarters, some of the most famous tourist spots in Seoul are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of BTS’s debut. That’s because these city landmarks were lit in purple, which is the symbolic color of the boy group’s fans, such as Namsan Tower and Dongdaemun Design Plaza.
What’s more, the South Korean postal service has released limited edition postage stamps. In all, 120,000 sets of stamps were made available, sold online in just three hours, according to an official from the AFP (Agence France-Presse).
The week will be full of celebrations, but the main event will take place on Saturday the 17th at Han River Park. And on that day, MRIthe leader of BTS, will be in attendance.
BTS is made up of MRI, Jin, Sucks, j-hope, Jimin, V It is jungkook. The group is currently on hiatus due to the military enlistments the members have to complete.
