Ukrainians should perceive information from Russian sources as a provocation. Only the official sources of Ukraine should be trusted.
Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that Russia spreads fakes about the losses in the ranks of the Ukrainian military or the destruction of military equipment so that Ukraine refutes these data and provides real numbers . He said this on the air of the telethon.
According to Malyar, during the war, of course, there are losses of equipment and weapons.
“But the Russians represent it (fake, – ed.) information, trying to get clarifications from us. They find it difficult to do reconnaissance on our territory, and, for example, if they say that they conditionally destroyed 11 tanks, then they expect us to “swallow” this hook and tell them how many they actually destroyed, clarifying this information. So, we will give our information,” he said.
Malyar stressed that such information should be taken with caution, as there are losses on both sides. However, neither side displays them publicly, this is an informational rule of war.
The Deputy Minister of Defense added that Ukrainians should perceive information from Russian sources as a provocation. It is worth believing only the official sources of Ukraine – the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense reported on the ratio of losses of Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier, the Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that the Russians had stepped up the spread of fake news about Ukraine’s “counteroffensive”.
