This award is given in Cannes to the best dog that starred the participant in the film festival’s film. This annual unofficial awards show was started in 2001 by journalist Toby Rose, who was inspired by his own French Fox Terrier, Muttli, and is now everyone’s favorite treat on the last day of the Cannes Film Festival.
The Ukrainian pet Patron was awarded the PalmDogManitarian award, awarded for the connection between humanity and dogs.
Brit, the silver poodle from Gina Gammell and Riley Keough’s War Pony, won the top prize.
The owner of the Patron, the head of the team of pyrotechnic works and underwater demining of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Chernihiv region, Mikhail Ilyev, recorded a video message in which, together with the Patron, thanked he had the prize.
