Upon opening it, the duo ends up releasing the villain who wastes no time and directs all her anger into an attack against Earth.
Upon feeling that Rita is free, the magician Zoltar, who had battled against the antagonist in the past, asks his assistant, the robot Alpha, to put plan B into action and gather five young warriors, who must become Earth’s defenders. However, when Jack, Zack, Kimberly, Trini and Billy are teleported to the Command Center and discover what awaits them, they fall into denial, deciding to leave.
But, as they leave the place, the quintet is attacked by Rita’s Rutties, being forced to participate in Zoltar’s plan — and that’s when the boys’ first transformation into Power Rangers occurs.
After morphing with the help of the Power Morphers stored in the belts given by Zoltar, they are taken to the center of Angel Grove, where they fight an army of Rutties, even battling a Megazord. The group of heroes wins, returning to the Command Center to celebrate.
It is worth remembering that in the episode of ‘Day of the Dumpster’ shown in the premiere, the plot brings the quintet training martial arts, and not in a bowling alley. Another difference is found in proper names and terms, as is the case with Zoltar, who in the pilot became Zordon.
