The paintings found were handed over to the Wall Paintings Conservation Department of the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
The frescoes, believed to be nearly 400 years old, were discovered during a kitchen renovation in an apartment in the north of England. This was reported by CNN.
The antique painting was found by Luke Luke Budworth, a research data analyst at the University of Leeds, in a one-room apartment in the British city of York, which is part of a 1797 Georgian building.
According to Budworth, both friezes measure approximately 2.7 meters by 1.2 meters, although they are cut into the top of the ceiling.
It is known that the discovered canvas depicts a biblical scene in which an angel drags a man into a cage behind him. There was also a man riding in a white cart who, according to Budworth, looked like he was on his way to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The paintings are believed to have been created between 1635, when the Emblems were painted, and 1700, when such artwork fell out of fashion.
