The government decided to turn Ukroboronprom into a joint-stock company of the state Ukrainian Defense Industry. This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram on Tuesday, March 21.
“JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry was formed, 100% of which shares belong to the state through the transformation of the State Corporation Ukroboronprom. The Charter of JSC and the Regulations on the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry were approved,” he wrote .
Melnichuk specified that the authorized capital of the company is UAH 237 million and was formed from state-owned property.
Recall that on October 2, 2021, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on the reform of the Civil Code Ukroboronprom. Then the concern called this decision “a new starting point for the Ukrainian defense industry.”
Later it became known that the Cabinet approved the restructuring of Ukroboronprom and all its enterprises.
