“Daily Show” guest host Hasan Minhaj launched an absolutely scathing indictment of Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and he did so with a description that may be nearly impossible to forget.
Minhaj reviewed explosive court documents released in recent days that show Carlson and others at the right-wing network knew Donald Trump and his representatives were lying with their claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
But they made those claims public, according to the documents.
Minhaj said a backstage message “really freaked me out.”
It was a message from Carlson warning that viewers could leave Newsmax if Fox News didn’t follow Trump’s lead and spread his conspiracy theories.
“He says, ‘If I don’t say this nonsense, my viewers will leave me,'” Minhaj translated. “All this time I thought Fox News was manipulating its viewers. But it seems viewers were manipulating Fox News.
He then offered his explanation of Carlson’s behavior:
“Think of it this way: Tucker Carlson is a moral vacuum. A scoundrel, if you will, who glorifies those who deny choice. Hence, a glory hole. And his viewers expect him to satisfy them with his mouth, and he’s constantly terrified that they’ll find a new hole that’s more satisfying. And that’s why Tucker Carlson will never stop sucking.”
