Anthony Ciccone, a former alcoholic and homeless man, died this Saturday, February 25th. He was in conflict with his sister for several years.
“My brother Anthony Gerard Ciccone left the Earth last night,” wrote Joe Henry, the husband of one of Madonna’s sisters, on social media this Sunday, February 26. And add: “I’ve known him since I was 15, in the spring of our life in Michigan, so many years have passed.” Anthony Gerard Cicone, one of the singer’s brothers, died on Saturday, February 25, at the age of 66. The circumstances of his death are not yet revealed.
“Anthony was a complex character. And God knows, we got confused sometimes, as true brothers can. But I loved him and understood him better than I sometimes wanted to let on. But the difficulties disappear. […] Farewell, then, Brother Anthony. I want to believe that the god your mother believed in (and mine) is waiting to receive you,” continued Joe Henry.

Madonna, 64, who has yet to respond to the news, was also at odds with Anthony Ciccone. The latter was also the brother of Martin, Christopher, Melanie (Joe Henry’s wife), Mario, Jennifer and Paola Mener. Alcohol, he was away from his siblings for several years.
