The movie ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, as much as it is currently a successful plot, was not always like that. The animation of the Seven Dwarfs, which consolidated the reputation of walt disneynever had its sure success while it was being produced.
walt disney, who earned her success by producing shorts, considered making a feature film about Snow White for $250,000. However, the project exceeded that amount, costing Disney nearly $1.5 million.
So to finish the production, waltz had to borrow money in addition to mortgaging his home. After the launch of ‘Branca de Neve’, the success was certain.
2. Mulan would be a movie with another theme
Instead of ‘Mulan’, the film was to be titled ‘China Doll’ and deal with an oppressed Chinese girl, who would live in misery, until a “Prince Charming”, this one of British origin, would save him, leading to girl to the West.
However, while ‘China Doll’ was being developed, Robert D San Souci, Disney consultant and author, released a story based on the Chinese poem “The Song of Fa Mu Lan”. However, at the end of this situation, the plot of Mulan ended up taking the shine out of the ‘China Doll’ production.

3. Jasmine and its versions
Before the final version of the character Jasmine, two others were discarded. This happened because, as the Disney princesses were becoming main characters in the stories they found themselves, Jasmine, from the movie ‘Aladdin’, was still a demure character, although she was rebellious and active during the plot.
Among the discarded versions, in one of them Jasmine was a spoiled child who wanted to marry the richest prince. But, during the story, the character learns to be humble.
In the other version, which went in the opposite direction of the first, the princess was more active in her character, and in it Jasmine confronted the sultan and was saved by being trapped in Jafar’s hourglass.

4. Bans for the voice actress of Snow White
the voice of Adriana Caselotti, the voice actress of Snow White, had a written contract with Disney. The reason? walt disney wanted the character’s voice to be a “unique” sound.
Due to the contract established with the producer of the feature, Adrianaafter her role in the film, could not appear on radio and television channels and in the cinema.
In season, Caselotti was being tipped to be interviewed on a radio show by jackBennyhowever Disney denied this, saying: “I’m sorry, but that voice cannot be used anywhere. I don’t want to spoil the illusion of Snow White.”
Adrianawho had also been banned from singing after her participation in the film, sang only in ‘Wizard of Oz’, in a part not credited to the artist.

5. Bela and the prejudice behind the character
Linda Woolverton, screenwriter of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ wanted to portray the Disney character as a hero of her own story, making Belle an intellectual. However, the screenwriter had to go against the thoughts of her team, which did not agree with hers.
Even though, Beautiful tried to combat these sexist thoughts, and wrote a scene where the character appeared showing on a globe all the places she wanted to travel. But when the scene was storyboarded, Belle was in the kitchen decorating a cake.
In the end, the screenwriter managed to close an agreement with the producer, where Bela would be portrayed as a lover of reading, a characteristic trait of the character.
