In the evening, according to schedules, electricity was cut in 793 settlements of the Khmelnytsky region.
On Friday night, block No. 2 of KhNPP is connected to the Unified Energy System of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of Khmelnytsky OVA Serhiy Gamaly on Telegram on November 25.
“Block No. 2 of KhNPP PS is connected to the Unified Energy System of Ukraine,” he wrote.
Gamaly mentioned that last night, according to schedules, electricity was cut in 793 communities of the region. 254 thousand consumers were left without electricity supply.
“In addition, for technical reasons, 84 communities of the region are de-energized, 9169 consumers are without electricity,” added the head of the region.
Recall that on November 23, all nine units of the Khmelnytsky, Rivne and Pivdennoukrainsk nuclear power plants were disconnected due to a frequency drop in Ukraine’s energy system. There was a blackout after another massive rocket attack by Russian aggressors.
The temporarily occupied Zaporozhye NPP, which has been inactive since September of this year, entered a complete blackout mode with the launch of all diesel generators. Thus, for the first time in the 40-year history of the Ukrainian nuclear power industry, all nuclear power units were shut down.
Just after lunch on November 24, the units at the nuclear power plant started working again.
