Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took an oath to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan and faithfully perform the duties of the president.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, elected in extraordinary presidential elections in Kazakhstan, serves as head of state for the next seven years. The inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday, November 26.
“I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly follow the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of citizens, faithfully perform the high duties of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan entrusted to me,” Tokayev said during the ceremony.
The head of Kazakhstan’s CEC, Nurlan Abdirov, presented Tokayev with a certificate of the president of the republic.
It will be remembered that on November 20, the extraordinary presidential election was held in Kazakhstan. According to their results, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev won a massive victory – 81.31% of voters who came to the polls voted for him.
And on November 22, it became known that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with Tokayev and congratulated him on his election victory.
