Auto Giant plans to bring the premium Brand Yangwang to the European market shortly after the launch of the Denza brand at the beginning of next year.
The Chinese car manufacturer announced that BYD’s plans to bring the premium brand Yangwang to the European market. This was reported by the Vice President of Stella Lee in the Autocar commentary. Thus, BYD will be the first Chinese manufacturer to try to get a foothold in the segment of Ultralux vehicles in Europe.
The Yangwang brand, created in 2022, is located at the top of the Byd model hierarchy, above the main line and the premium subbrand Denza. The first models were the U8 SUV and the U9 U9 electric supercar. Both cars were sold in China for almost two years at a price of nearly $ 160 thousand for the U8 and $ 270 thousand for the U9.
Despite presenting both models at The Speed Festival in Goodwood last year, the company has not yet confirmed plans for official access to Europe. It is now found that after the launch of the Denza brand (expected at the beginning of next year), Yangwang will also appear in the European market.
The final price for European versions of the models has not been disclosed, however, due to the costs of adaptation for the right-handed drive and 17 percent duties on electrical cars from China, Yangwang is not likely to reduce conflict with competition with Bentley, Porsche or Ferrari.
