In Kherson, on July 20 and 21, as a result of Russia’s influx, the theater named Nikola Kulisha and the Greco-Sofievsky Church were damaged. It was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration and Executive Director of the Kherson League of Social Workers Igor Tsurkan.
It was noted that in the afternoon of July 21, the Russians struck the theater named Nikola Kulish – one of Southern Ukraine’s largest theaters. As a result of the blow, the facade is damaged in the building. No one was injured and dead to civilians.
The theater reported that a theater pillar, entrance doors and three windows in the cafe theater were also damaged.
As you know, the Kherson Theater named Nikola Kulish since 1999 has been organizing the Tavria Melpomene Theater Festival. After the start of a full aggression, the theater continued to work in other cities of Ukraine.

In addition, on July 20, the Russian military struck the territory of the Greco-Sofievsky Church.
The windows knocked there, the burning walls and roofs of the building, located on the church territory, were destroyed.
As noted in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as a result of the hit, the wooden cells exploded and burned the ground.
The Greco-Sofievsky Church was built in 1780 and was the oldest temple in Kherson. At first, he was wood, but then rebuilt on the stone. The temple was intended to respect the birth of the blessed Virgin Mary. The altar is a monument of architecture of national significance. In the church, a black iconostasis of the tree, conducted by the Greek masters, is preserved.
