Apple registered the brand of Homeos, which could indicate a possible operating system announcement for a smart home on WWDC 2025. According to 9to5mac, an application for a brand was submitted in April 2025.
According to the documents, the name Homeos is registered by the Home Operations Suite LLC, whose office is located at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmingon, the Deader is a popular place for corporate registration, which Apple has used earlier to maintain unknown in similar cases.
The brand is classified according to the categories 009 and 042, such as for computer software and scientific services – descriptions suitable for specifying the operating system.
However, the discovery of the brand does not guarantee that the operating system will be presented, as it has occurred – the case occurred in 2022, when the realition brand was discovered before the announcement of the Vision Pro headset. As a result, a completely different name appeared – Visionos.
So it is possible that Homeos is just one of the options for the name that Apple registered just in case.
