The customs of the Russian Federation regulate the almost complete cessation of importing processors from the United States, as manufacturers report the growth of supplies in the “Color -Bo” segment.
Official supplies of American processors in Russia were strictly reduced in 2024. According to closed statistics of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Intel Chips import fell 95% – from 443 thousand to 20 thousand units, and AMD – 81%, from 94 thousand to 17 thousand units.
However, market participants claim that the real volume of imports is greater. The representative of one of the Russian equipment manufacturers said the actual import of processors in 2024 increased by 20-30% compared to last year.
According to experts, underestimated differential data is explained by the fact that large suppliers do not always indicate the exact nomenclature of the goods, and the processors are under other names.
In particular, the company Ricor He announced the purchase of more than 120 thousand processors in 2024 – a third more than 2023, they informed Rossmy.
In addition, IT equipment and components prove that the requests for the supply of foreign processors in 2024 from Russian electronic manufacturers were several times higher than 2023. They did not exclude that at 2025 prices for them could rise by 10-12% due to manufacturers’ decisions.
“The processors are extremely demanding, so importers will seek the opportunity to bring them, and, as the last three years have shown, the issue of delivery is somehow resolved, there is no shortage,” the resource to one of the manufacturers of computer equipment mentioned.
It is noted that in 2025, approximately 300 thousand processors should enter Russia just for the production of Russian servers.
Remember that the US Congress is preparing penalties that can “crush” the Russian Federation economy.
