In addition, nearly 140 million euros of the Norway government will be sent via EBRD, Denis Shmygal said.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a loan for Naftogaz for the purchase of natural gas for up to 270 million euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Telegram on Wednesday, March 26.
“Today, the EBRD has approved the NapKogaz loan for the purchase of natural gas for the next two periods of heat up to 270 million euros. In addition, about 140 million euros of grants from the Norway government will be directed by the EBRD,” he wrote.
According to Shmygal, this resource will help Ukraine accumulate gas reserves in gas storage facilities to pass the next heat season.
Remember that Ukraine agreed to the second batch of gas from the United States – 100 million cubic meters. The gas will be provided in April. It is used to create a strategic reserve for the next heat period.
European ports stopped the Russian liquid gas transshipment
