Seven American tankers bound for Africa and Asia changed their courses and diverted to European ports.
Tankers carrying American liquefied gas are changing routes and heading to European ports instead of planned destinations. This development is caused by high gas prices in Europe, reports the Financial Times.
At least seven American tankers previously scheduled to sail to Africa, Asia and Colombia have changed their courses and are headed for European ports.
LNG market analyst at ICIS Alex Frawley emphasized that individual ships have “made some sharp turns” in their direction.
“It’s unusual to see so many changes in direction and so many obvious turns,” he explained.
Gas prices in the European market have increased, allowing traders to make additional profits and stimulating supplies in Europe.
We remind you that the media reported that the Trump team is preparing oil sanctions against Russia. At the same time, the President of the US the day before spoke to Vladimir Putin with an ultimatum to end the war in Ukraine, otherwise large sanctions will be imposed against Russia.
