In the interbank market, the American currency dropped another 8 kopecks – at 41.88-41.92 UAH/Dollar (purchase and sale).
The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the Hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar to its highest level since the end of 2024. It has been confirmed by data on the regulator website on Friday, January 24.
Thus, the official exchange rate for Monday is set to 41.9253 hryvnia per dollar (-0.0498 UAH). In turn, the euro exchange rate increased significantly – at the level of 43.9168 hryvnia (+0.2459 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency dropped another 8 kopecks – at 41.88-41.92 UAH/Dollar (buying and selling) compared to the closing of the previous day.
In exchange offices, the average dollar rate was reduced by 15 kopecks – up to 42.25 hryvnia.
We will remind you that on January 23, the NBU increased the discount rate of 1% – up to 14.5% per year. Thus, the regulator responded to increase inflation by 12% by the end of 2024.
It is also reported that high demand for foreign currency remains in the interbank market. The National Bank has sold more than one billion dollars for the second consecutive week.
