Meanwhile, on the interbank market, the price of the American currency rose again – to 42.37-42.40 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine lowered the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia after it updated historical records for six consecutive days. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, January 13.
Thus, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 42.2692 UAH per dollar (-0.0149 UAH). In turn, the euro exchange rate fell significantly and will reach UAH 43.1273 (-0.4465 UAH).
Meanwhile, in the interbank market, the American currency added 10 kopecks in price to 42.37-42.40 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 43.00.
Let’s remember that at the beginning of 2025, the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market will increase again. During the week of January 6-10, the NBU sold $1.039 billion. This is 40% more than last week.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion or 8.1%.
