In the interbank market, the American currency added 13 kopecks in value to 41.96-42.00 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine lowered the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar after three consecutive days of decline. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, December 27.
So, the official exchange rate for Monday is set at 41.9403 UAH per dollar (+0.0956 UAH). The euro exchange rate increased further and on Monday will be 43.7479 UAH (+0.2357 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency added 13 kopecks in value to 41.96-42.00 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate is stable and unchanged – 42.20 UAH.
We remind you that last week the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market rose to its highest level since May 2022. The NBU sold a record 1.417 billion dollars on December 16-20.
As you know, on December 12, the National Bank unexpectedly increased the discount rate. The regulator made this decision in response to inflation rising to 11.2% in November.
