The new tax rules for individual entrepreneurs will come into force from the beginning of 2025, and not from October 1, 2024, as previously planned.
President Vladimir Zelensky signed Law No. 9319, postponing the introduction of new tax changes for individual entrepreneurs until January 1, 2025. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev, on Telegram on Wednesday, December 25.
Thus, the new tax rules for individual entrepreneurs will come into effect from the beginning of 2025, and not from October 1, 2024, as previously planned.
The bill also provides for changes in the functioning of the legal regime of Dіya.City and its adaptation to the conditions of martial law.
In particular, the document removes for residents of Diya.City with the status of startups the rule of not applying the preferential personal income tax rate of 5% and the minimum unified social tax on the income of specialists if the number of such people in the resident is less than nine people.
Previously, Opendatabot reported that 27% of surveyed individual entrepreneurs are planning to close in the near future, more than half of them are quitting work due to a sharp increase in the tax burden.
Since the signing of the law introducing a military levy for small and medium-sized businesses, for every one new sole proprietor there are two closed businesses.
