The demand for electric cars has fallen in Ukraine

Demand for electric cars in Ukraine has been declining for months. Sales of electric vehicles fell 13% in November.

In November, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was filled with 3,742 battery-powered vehicles (BEV), which is 13% less than in November last year. It was reported by Ukravtoprom on Monday, December 9th.

The share of new vehicles in BEV registrations was 18%, up from 19% last year.

The majority of electric vehicles registered during the month were passenger cars – 3,597 units. (new – 669 pcs., used – 2928 pcs.). Out of 145 commercial electric vehicles, only 18 are new.

The TOP 5 new electric vehicles of the month include:

  • Honda M-NV – 99;

  • BYD Song Plus – 86;

  • Zeekr 001 – 73;

  • Volkswagen ID.4 – 71;

  • Audi Q4 e-tron – 35.

TOP 5 used electric cars registered for the first time in Ukraine:

  • Nissan Leaf – 384;

  • Tesla Model 3 – 301;

  • Tesla Model Y – 298;

  • Hyundai Kona Electric – 194;

  • Kia Niro EV – 156.

In total, since the beginning of the year, almost 48 thousand cars powered by battery sources have passed their first registration in Ukraine, of which: 20% are new and 80% are used.

We remind you that in November more than 5.2 thousand new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, which is 3% less than in the past.
