Russia’s expenses for a full-scale war with Ukraine were announced in the United States.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the aggressor country has spent $200 billion. At the same time, Russia’s losses in manpower amounted to at least 700 thousand during this period. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said this at the Ronald Reagan National Security Forum in California.
According to him, losses in the first year of the war could exceed Russia’s losses in all conflicts since World War II combined in recent months.
The United States Secretary of Defense added that the Americans have transferred two Patriot batteries, 24 HIMARS missile systems, thousands of armored vehicles and millions of artillery ammunition to Ukraine during this time, Austin said. In total, since February 2022, Ukraine has received $62 billion in military assistance from the United States.
Recall that newly elected US President Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine, upon his return to office, “probably” will not receive the same amount of assistance as from the Donald Trump administration.
