After generation, the code written by the AI is carefully reviewed and accepted by the company’s engineers.
More than a quarter of all code created by Google today is generated by artificial intelligence. This was said by the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai, reports The Verge.
He said that after generation, the code is analyzed in detail and accepted by the company’s engineers. So, the head of Google makes sure that the company is confident in the technologies it develops.
“Our new search AI capabilities expand what people search for and how people search. In the cloud, our AI solutions help drive deeper product usage among existing customers, attract new customers, and close big deals. And YouTube’s total advertising and subscription revenue exceeded $50 billion for the first time in the last four quarters,” Pichai said.
Alphabet reported $88.3 billion in revenue for the quarter, of which Google Services revenue (which includes search) was $76.5 billion, up 13% year over year, and Google Cloud revenue (which includes AI infrastructure products for other companies) reached $11.4 billion, which is 35% more than last year.
It was previously reported that Google won its legal challenge against a $1.7 billion EU fine imposed by the European Commission in 2019 for market abuse related to its AdSense search product.
Let’s remember that in May Google announced that it was adding artificial intelligence to its search and announced big changes.
