The Japanese Ministry of Defense said the flight of the DPRK missile was the longest of all launches and lasted about an hour and a half.
North Korea on Thursday, October 31, launched an intercontinental ballistic missile. This was reported by the AP agency with reference to a statement by the South Korean military.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a brief statement that the launch took place Thursday morning, but did not provide any additional details, such as how far the missile flew.
Meanwhile, the NHK television channel, citing the Japanese Ministry of Defense, said that the DPRK’s missile flight was the longest of all launches and lasted for about an hour and a half. Japan is convening a national security council, the country’s prime minister said.
The flight altitude of a North Korean missile exceeded 7,000 km, the highest ever, the Japanese Defense Minister said.
The reported launch came a day after South Korea’s military intelligence told lawmakers that North Korea had likely completed preparations for its seventh nuclear test and was close to test-firing a long-range missile that could arrive in the United States.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said South Korea’s military has strengthened its surveillance posture and is closely sharing information about North Korean launches with US and Japanese authorities.
Let’s recall that in September the DPRK tested ballistic missiles with massive warheads.
In South Korea they say that the Kremlin is asking the DPRK in exchange for the military
