An emergency shutdown of a high-voltage line occurred outside the city, the Russian occupiers said.
Almost all residents of the temporarily occupied Energodar, Zaporozhye region, were left without electricity due to the accident. This was stated by the Russian media, as well as the press service of the occupation city administration.
“There was an emergency shutdown of the high voltage line outside the city almost the entire city was left without electricity,” the occupiers said in a statement.
The previous emergency power outage at Energodar occurred on October 5.
The city itself is located on the left bank of the Dnieper, next to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity – six power units of one gigawatt each.
Let’s remember that on September 11 there was also no power supply in Energodar.
