For January-September, the amount of state budget expenses is 2.3 trillion. Most of the funds were spent on wages.
The total amount of cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for the nine months of 2024 is 2.3 trillion. UAH, which is UAH 225.8 billion, or 10.7% more than the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, October 16.
It was noted that 249.4 billion Hryvnias were spent in September.
The cost structure is most focused on:
- UAH 928.8 billion – for wages with accruals (including in September – 111.2 billion UAH) or 39.6% of the total costs spent for January – September 2024 (compared to the same period last year increased by 48.3 billion . UAH, or by 5.5%). In particular, UAH 703.9 billion was allocated for the maintenance of military personnel. (in September – 83.7 billion UAH);
- UAH 363.9 billion – to pay for the use of goods and services (in September – UAH 32.5 billion) or 15.5% of the total cost. Among them:

UAH 195.3 billion – to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies. This is the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment (helmet, body armor and other special equipment), fuel and lubricants, food, payment of equipment ;

UAH 115.2 billion – transferred by the National Health Service of Ukraine for the implementation of the program of state guarantees of medical care for the population;
- UAH 411.8 billion – for social security (payment of pensions, benefits, scholarships) (in September – 35.1 billion UAH) or 17.6% of the total cost, which is 25.4 billion UAH or 6.6% more than the same period last year,
- UAH 224.6 billion – for subsidies and current transfers to enterprises (institutions, organizations) (in September – UAH 32.3 billion) or 9.6% of total costs. Among them:

UAH 191.3 billion – for the purchase of goods to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

UAH 17 billion – to ensure the functioning of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund;
- UAH 217.5 billion – for servicing the public debt (in September – UAH 13.4 billion) or 9.3% of the total amount (against the same period last year it increased by UAH 45.2 billion, or 26.3%);
- UAH 130.8 billion – for transfers to local budgets.
