The growth in exports became possible thanks to the functioning of the Black Sea sea corridor.

In January-September 2024, Ukrainian exports reached almost 100 million tons. This is 36% more than last year, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said on Telegram on Tuesday, October 8.

“That is, in 9 months we exported the same amount as in the whole last year,” he said.

According to the head of government, in monetary terms exports reached $28.9 billion.

“This became possible thanks to the functioning of the Black Sea sea corridor, state support for Ukrainian exporters, and thanks to the honest work of businessmen in export-oriented economic sectors,” added Shmygal.

The day before it became known that from the beginning of 2024, Ukraine’s foreign trade deficit has grown by more than 5%. Imports of goods in Ukraine amounted to $51.2 billion, while exports amounted to $30.7 billion.

It is also reported that Ukraine has reached pre-war export levels.
