This decision is designed to balance the energy system and ensure stable power supply for all categories of consumers, NEURC assured.
Electricity tariffs for businesses will increase in Ukraine in the fall. This was announced by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Fields of Energy and Utilities (NCRECU) on Friday, September 27.
It was indicated that on October 1, the regulator will consider a draft resolution on changing price limits in the day-ahead market, the intraday market and the balancing market.
“The change in border prices is due to the need to provide conditions for the commercial import of electrical energy from European countries to cover possible shortages of electricity during the autumn-winter period Russian terrorist attack on the energy system,” the statement said. .
This solution is designed to balance the energy system and ensure stable electricity supply for all categories of consumers.
“This will not affect in any way the fixed level of electricity prices for the population,” assured the regulator.
We remind you that from June 1, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers significantly increased electricity bills for the population – up to 4.32 UAH/kWh. At the same time, Ukraine increased the maximum price of electricity for businesses.
And this week it became known that Ukraine temporarily raised the electricity tariff for consumers of the “last resort” supplier.
