The supermodel spent the funds intended for the needy on herself. Only 8.5% of proceeds are sent to aid.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been accused of using charity funds for personal expenses, including luxury hotels, spa treatments and security. The Charity Commission discovered this. The New York Post reported it.
Campbell founded Fashion for Relief in 2005, which raises money to fight Ebola and help refugee children. However, an investigation showed that most of the funds were not used for their purpose, and only 8.5% of the collection went to charity.
Because of the violations, Campbell was banned from running charities for five years, and his colleague Bianca Hellmich was banned from running charities for nine.
It was previously reported that Naomi Campbell admitted that she experienced ridicule for her appearance as a child.
