Bosch is entering into the largest agreement in its history

German appliance maker Bosch will acquire the assets of American HVAC company Johnson Controls for $8 billion. This was reported by the Bosch press service on Tuesday, July 23.

This will be the largest agreement in the company’s history. It will be closed for a year.

As part of the agreement, Bosch will also become the owner of the Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning joint venture, including a 40% stake in Japan’s Hitachi.

As a result, Bosch will own 16 factories and 12 engineering centers in more than 30 countries. Its long-term license portfolio includes brands such as York and Coleman in the US and Hitachi in Asia.
