In the period from January to June, cars of Chinese origin occupied 16% of the Ukrainian market of new cars.
In the first half of the year, Ukrainians bought about 7.3 thousand passenger cars imported from China. This was reported by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) on Friday, July 19.
Compared to the same period last year, the demand for cars made in China increased one and a half times. Specifically, in this amount: new – 5.3 thousand units. (+70%); used – almost 2 thousand units. (+9%).
It was noted that in the period from January to June, cars of Chinese origin occupied 16% of the Ukrainian market of new passenger cars.
While in the segment of used cars registered for the first time in Ukraine, the share of “Chinese” is 2%.
At the same time, the absolute majority of passenger cars from China are electric cars – 83%.

Over the past six months, 21.2 thousand used cars from the United States of America were registered in Ukraine. That is, 19% of the used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates from January to June were from the USA.
