Now Ukrainian engineers are looking in Europe for equipment on mothballed thermal power plants to use in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of this year, Russian attacks have destroyed 90% of the capacity of DTEK’s thermal power plants. DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko said this in a commentary in the British magazine The Economist.
“90% of our production capacity has been destroyed this year. Since March, missile attacks have been directed against thermal and hydroelectric power plants,” he said, commenting on the consequences of Russia’s shelling.
The article states that Ukrainian engineers are looking in Europe to equip mothballed thermal power plants for use in Ukraine.
We remind you that since the beginning of the massive attack on DTEK power plants, they have been fired upon by the enemy more than 180 times. These data were announced by the company’s executive director, Dmitry Sakharuk.
It was also reported that on July 8, during a missile attack on Kyiv, three DTEK transformer substations in the Shevchenko and Goloseevsky districts of the capital were damaged.
