Poland’s Orlen will supply natural gas to Slovakia’s ZSE Group from January until the end of 2025.
The Polish group Orlen, through its subsidiary PGNiG Supply & Trading, has signed a contract with the Slovak company ZSE Group for the supply of gas, which will cover approximately 30% of ZSE’s needs for the year. This was stated in a message from Orlen on Monday, July 8.
Orlen will supply ZSE Group with natural gas from January to the end of 2025.
Gas (including USA) will be delivered in liquefied form to the LNG terminal in Lithuania. After regasification, it will be transported through a pipeline connecting Lithuania and Poland to the Polish gas system, and then transported to Slovakia through the Vyrava interconnector.
“The contract marks the first time that a Slovak company has imported natural gas to the country’s northern border,” the statement said.
The contract price is calculated based on market rates.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said that Serbia will bring more Russian gas to Hungary if Ukraine does not extend the transit agreement with Russia.
