The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine decreased to UAH 40.90, while the euro exchange rate remained stable at UAH 44.25.
The hryvnia exchange rate is growing for the second day in a row against the dollar on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, July 5.
Thus, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine decreased by another 5 kopecks to UAH 40.90, while the euro exchange rate remained stable at UAH 44.25.
Today, exchange offices buy a dollar for an average of 40.40 UAH, and a euro for 43.55 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 40.53-40.56 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank significantly reduced the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after the historical maximum of UAH 40.5458 (-0.2141 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 43.7814 UAH (-0.0681 UAH).
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the growth of the dollar. At the same time, the regulator ensures that the situation in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine remains under control.
