Chairman of the Council of Ministers (PCM) announced the extension of the application period for the sale of only two types of gasoline on spills.
Now service stations should only sell petrol Regular and Premium starting August 30, not July 1 as originally set.
In a tweet, the PCM recalled that Supreme Decree No. 002-2022-EM states that manufacturers, importers, terminals and distributors wholesalers they have 30 days to comply with government regulations.
“Public trade enterprises (faucets) have an additional 30 days to comply with the above standard. That is, from August 30, 2022, only fuel will be sold in taps: regular and premium,” they specified.
By date petrol Premium will be rated at 96 octane and will group 95, 97 and 98 octane petrols, while regular petrol, which will be sold as 91 octane, will include 84 and 90 octane petrols.
The measure frees taps in the regions of Loreto, Amazonas, San Martin and Madre de Dios, where 84 octane petrol will continue to be sold until June 30, 2023.
