The project for the restoration of the Yubileiny microdistrict in Bakhmut is one of the largest in Ukraine and is designed for more than 17 thousand residents, or almost a quarter of the population that lived in the city before the war.
company Metinvest-SMC develop a project for a microdistrict to restore Bakhmut, which was destroyed by the Nazis. It was presented at the Ukrainian Construction Congress held in Kyiv, the group’s press service reports. Metinvest.
“The project was created within the framework of the concept of restoration of Ukraine Iron dream. It is based on the idea of a “15-minute city”: a modern space with housing, entertainment areas and a barrier-free environment. The designers also created conditions for attracting citizens to economic and social activity,” the statement said.
The company added that the project for the restoration of the Yubileiny microdistrict in Bakhmut is one of the largest in Ukraine and is designed for more than 17 thousand residents, or almost a quarter of the population that lived in the city before the war.
The total area of the designed quarter is about 87 hectares. The development should occupy approximately 23 hectares, green areas – 47 hectares. The project involves abandoning high-rise housing in favor of houses with 1-6 floors. Residential development will be concentrated in the center of the microdistrict, and recreation and entertainment areas will be located along its perimeter.
“We relied on the concept of a “city with 15 minutes”. project leader mentioned during the presentation of the project office of the construction sector of the project Metinvest-SMC Tatiana Skripka.
According to him, the main part of the microdistrict is a place where there will be shopping centers, a cinema, children’s rooms, a walking area with restaurants, cafes and shops and a place for a fair, where the residents of the surrounding villages and farmers. will arrive.
Let’s remember in May last year the company Metinvest-SMC introduced a rapid recovery concept based on the use of prefabricated metal building solutions. In particular, 13 types of metal buildings were presented – residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports complexes, etc. (in total more than 200 ready-made design solutions).
The group last September Metinvest developed based on this concept and submitted to the Mariupol City Council a comprehensive project for a residential area for 10 thousand residents for the restoration of Mariupol.
