This wind power plant is the first in Ukraine to use the latest technologies. In the future, it will be the largest in Eastern Europe.
In the first year of operation, the Tiligul wind power plant (WPP) in the Nikolaev region released 333 million kWh of electricity to the Ukrainian energy system. Energy holding company DTEK announced this on Monday, May 20.

“The construction and gradual commissioning of the turbines of the first stage of the Tiligul wind farm with a capacity of 114 MW made it possible to increase the electricity supply in the south of Ukraine. Thus, during the year of operation, the profitable electricity supply generated by DTEK Tiligul wind farm reached more than 333 million kWh,” the report said.
It is indicated that the station is the first in Ukraine to use the latest technologies. In particular, POD devices are installed in wind farms to increase the capacity of energy bridges between Ukraine and Europe, which is very important at the present time.
Let’s remember that at the height of the war, DTEK built the Tiligul wind power plant in the Nikolaev region with a capacity of 114 MW, 100 km from the combat zone. It is the first wind farm in the world built during the war.
Earlier at the COP28 conference, DTEK and the world’s leading manufacturer of wind turbines, the Danish company Vestas, signed a memorandum on the completion of the construction of the Tiligul wind farm. The total investment in the project will exceed 650 million euros, and the capacity of the station will be 500 MW. It will be the largest in Eastern Europe.
