The regulator left the official dollar exchange rate unchanged, although the American currency fell slightly in price on the interbank market.
The National Bank of Ukraine did not change the official exchange rate of the dollar against the hryvnia after its record growth for six days in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, April 16.
So, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 39.5737 UAH per 1 dollar (0.0000 UAH). Thus, the rate remained at a historical maximum.
In turn, the euro exchange rate has slightly decreased and will reach UAH 42.1222 (-0.0396 UAH).
Meanwhile, on the interbank market, the American currency fell by 3 kopecks – to 39.56-39.58 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close. And in the cash market, the dollar exchange rate immediately jumped by 20 kopecks – to 39.75 UAH/dollar.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the recent increase in the dollar exchange rate. During the month, the exchange rate of the American currency updated records more than once.
