“In Ukraine, it is proposed to create and develop a cotton cluster in the Odessa region. Therefore, it is important to adopt an appropriate law that will allow the import of cotton seeds to Ukraine for the development of the industry,” the official . mentioned.
The participants of the seminar discussed the technologies for growing cotton in Ukraine and got acquainted with the experience of entrepreneurs in Turkey and the USA in growing cotton.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the people of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the State Agency for Land Reclamation Development, Fisheries and Food Programs, the Odessa Regional Military Administration , scientific institutions, international specialists and agricultural producers.
It should be noted that the Department of Agrarian Policy, Food and Land Relations of the Odessa Regional State Administration said that in the Odessa region there are “perfect natural and climatic conditions” for sowing cotton.
Since cotton pulp is used to make gunpowder, its cultivation will not only be of economic benefit but will also help the defense sector.
