It is indicated that the amendments to the agreement provide for the possibility of movement of empty trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons at the Luzhanka-Beregshuran checkpoint.
“We are also considering the possibility of building a new cargo checkpoint Diida – Beregdaroc to increase the capacity of the Ukrainian-Hungarian border,” the message said.
In addition, the governments of the two countries are working on negotiations on joint customs and border control, which will speed up control procedures and reduce border crossing times.
Amendments to the bilateral agreement still need to be ratified.
Currently, there are five vehicle checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, and trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons can only pass through one of them – Csop – Zahony.
We remind you that a week ago the Cabinet of Ministers approved an agreement with Romania on the opening of a new checkpoint between the settlements of Bila Tserkva in the Transcarpathian region and Sigheta Marmatia in Romania.
